It’s easily changeable and easily addictive. I get around 11,000 unique hits daily on my main social engine script. The forum has over 17,000 posts. I have over 3,000 groups, and a total of 46,000+ images. The site currently uses about 300GB bandwidth per month and 58gb space so a shared hosting is a good choice as a start.
Each has its advantages and disadvantages. Social engine doesn’t have a lot of features out of the box and I was a little bored after playing with it a bit. That said, it feels like cleaner coding and more responsive out of the box although you’ll need to add in quite a bit.
Social engine is good i bought 5 licenses for that but only used 3.
I tried out social engine for a bit and was impressed with what they offer. The only drawback is that you buy the platform and get only the very basics. If you want functionality, like a gallery, then you need to buy that component. An extra $50 for each add on.

I went for SocialEngine because it is the most flexible. You have all the components you need, if you pay of course. But its worth it.
